Type E self-aligning roller bearings are a sub-category of self-aligning roller bearings. They feature symmetrical spherical rollers, a two-piece stamped cage made of hardened steel, an inner ring without a flange, and a centre ring guided by the cage.
Features:
The intermediate ring, positioned close to the outer ring, improves lubrication at the contact points between the roller end faces and the ring. Its function is to reduce bearing friction, assist in guiding the rollers in the non-load zone, and help the rollers enter the load zone. At the same time, the increased roller length results in a significant improvement in the rated load capacity. Typically, the rated load capacity can be increased by 20% to 35%.
Advantages:
Capable of withstanding forces from multiple directions, suitable for high speeds, and capable of withstanding high loads.
